Med/Surg emerge winners of the 2021 Maiden Quiz Challenge Organised by Dr. Chinedu Umeadi’s Foundation

The Abia State University Medical Students Association (ABSUMSA) emerged winners during the Grand Finale of the Maiden Quiz Challenge held yesterday at Lecture East Hall.

Out of 24 groups which took part in the competition 3groups came out as best. They include;
√ Medicine and Surgery – Winners
√ Nursing – 1st runner up
√ Optometry – 2nd runner up

The Winners were awarded 200k Cash, 1st runner up 150k Cash and Second runner up 100k Cash. They were also consolation prizes for all participants and Certificates were presented to the Representatives in each group.

Presenting Prizes and Certificates to the Participants, The Chairman of the Occasion Mr Anucha Wisdom lauded the brilliance of the participants and thanked Dr Chinedu Umeadi’s Foundation for organizing the Maiden Quiz Challenge for Students in College of Medicine and Health Sciences.

Also Speaking was Sct. Oti Daniel Chukwudi the Coordinator of the Maiden Quiz Challenge who described the event as an “Out of the classroom learning experience ” saying it was packaged to spur and improve the knowledge base of Students.

The high point of the event was the cutting of the cake and also was a speech on ‘Academic Excellence’ presented by the former Head of Department Microbiology.

Also present at the event was Sct. Christian Kelechi, Dr Okore Nnamdi Elem, Mr Okore Akunna, Students and Students leaders in the Faculty and Departments made the event a successful one.
